HAPPY NEW YEAR 2025
This year we spent Christmas in Scotland with my father who is still going strong at 92. It’s always a bit of a tight schedule when we go back to the U.K. but this time we kept it simple. Four nights in Scotland and four nights in Kent so we could see Ian’s children and our grandchildren (now we have three!). The almost persistent fog meant the lovely snowy mountains were hidden and so was most of the motorway on our 9 hour drive south on Boxing Day. Anyway, all this meant that we didn’t have time to do our traditional Christmas message until we got back to Spain and we went for a New Year’s Day walk with Alfie. January is such a beautiful month. It’s very cold (frost in the mornings) but the skies are cloudless and the views stretch as far as the eye can see, and Moclín is well placed for far reaching views! Armed with our trusty picnic rucksack, Ian’s homemade sausage rolls and a flask full of ice cold sherry (a brilliant Christmas present from my brother, he knows us very well) we climbed up to one of the local viewpoints that we call Hanging Rock (not because of the book and film but because there literally is a rock that is hanging!) .
2024 was SO exciting for us and as I say in the vlog, frustratingly we can’t say why yet but we dont have to wait long…only 3 more weeks actually. Then we will be dropping no less than TEN blog posts for you to get your teeth into and discover what the hell has been going on here.
For now, i will leave you with our New Year message and a few pics. Have a fabulous 2025!
